Commission prices aren’t determined by a competitive market like wages are. As it stands, my prices feel good for the quality of art I make.
Can you sketch a drawing like mine in 5 minutes?
You’re paying for my 10 years of drawing experience.
Not my assumed 5 minutes of labor.
If you don’t want to pay the prices I set for commissions, then you can find someone else to commission.
As proven by my last anon, there are people who will be willing to pay $20 for a sketch.

As for starting low on prices, I’m gonna tell you right now that really low prices probably aren’t going to happen. I take my time very seriously and if I’m gonna be doing commissioned art work in the future, then I want to make sure that it is worth my time.
I’ll find out what to charge. I’ve done commissions in the past and have charged moderately good rates even then.
Now I’ve gotten better, and my time is becoming less in abundance.
So I’ll formulate prices.
Nah I really need to get to bed now actually. Busy day tomorrow. Work. Blegh.

It would be fun to draw whatever ideas my followers have here. I think that would be a lot of fun.

I’m in the process of redoing the layout for my QT Dolphin blog, but feel free to follow that it you’d like. I haven’t posted there for a while, but I’m getting ready to start doing regular updates on that blog for all of my anthro work.
I do a lot of anthro. I don’t post it here a lot though since I have a separate blog for that. I may consider fusing all of my art work to this blog someday.

There’s a lot of dead ponies on this blog. You would be mistaken to assume that I hate any of the characters I depict here.
Let me put it to you this way. If I don’t like the character, I won’t draw them. Simple as that.
I’d rub their shoulders, hush them with my calming voice, lean into their ear very slowly and whisper, “Flash is dead.”
There are many who don’t like what I do. The few who are here though are the best bunch of people ever.

Well, those life things are pretty heavy. It’s basically stuff about me moving out of NY and trying to make a thing for myself in another state. It’s just a rough scary patch and I’m very uncertain about it, but that’s really what it’s about in the end. Never knowing.
I have some things figured out, but I’ll never truly have everything figured out.
And that’s okay.

To be honest, kind of slow right now. A bunch of life things came up and right now I’m focusing on some really really important things that’ll determine where I end up in the future, so that’s been receiving all of my attention.
