So about art.

For the past 4 months, I’ve been working for a small music shop out in Sacramento. It’s a small business that hasn’t been doing very well as of late due to obsolete business practices and poor ownership. I’ve been earning minimum wage at this job and putting in 110% effort, which was met with a thank you. Basically, I wasn’t given any raises, wouldn’t be getting any raises, and commission rates at the shop were pretty much nonexistent.

The job took up 5 days out of the week and left me heavily fatigued. Most of my time at the shop was spent merchandising and organizing their sales departments, but after most of that work was done, there was not much else to do. This resulted in me sitting around most days and doing next to nothing. Sometimes I’d help a customer here and there, but in the end it’s insanely unsatisfying work for shit pay. 

It’s because of this that I’ve decided to hand in my 2 weeks notice with the company to return to art and music full-time. 

I’ve been able to make a reasonable living from my work before when I didn’t have myself together, so I feel I can responsibly tackle this avenue again. I want to start doing YCH’s again, I want to open up commissions for multiple art works, I want to start streaming everyday again, and I want to focus time for some music projects that I’ve not been able to. 

There’s going to be more challenges for me to face in the future no doubt. Mostly having to do with being able to pay all of my bills every month. 

I’m willing to give this a shot though. 

I just can’t and won’t waste my time at a place that’s completely unfulfilling just for a paycheck. 

I want to make my own way again. 

So yes. I’ll be returning to my artistic pursuits full-time once again. This time with a renewed vision for what I plan to accomplish. 

I hope you’ll all stick along for this next step in my artistic pursuits. 

It’s a exciting chapter. I want to really make this happen.
