Twitter is a different story, and I haven’t written that story yet. I want it to be kind of a fresh start for Birchly art, so while I will likely tweet some of my favorites from this blog, I will NOT be migrating all my work over there. You’ve been warned.
Will I have a NSFW Twitter? Honestly that’s likely, but it doesn’t exist yet, nor even taken shape in my mind. But I will link to it on twitter (and FA) when it comes into existence, so you’ll just have to wait and see.
I think that’s all the pragmatic stuff. OK, let’s talk.
I could remain on tumblr easily enough. But there’s something that really gets under my fur, we’ll call it… lying manipulative butthole-ery? And if what brings a smile to tumblr management’s faces is ignoring and deceiving users, chasing away vulnerable communities, and generally driving this site into the ground while raking in ad money, then I will not give them the chance to monetize my work.
Tumblrers, I started posting here as kind of an experiment at a time when I was incredibly insecure about my art. Your embrace has given me so much confidence and let me rediscover a passion for drawing what I love that had all but run dry. I know I don’t interact with you all very much outside of my art, but I want to say I really appreciate those of you who have shown your steady support, and I’m glad I could make you happy. I hope you’ll take the next step with me as I figure out what the hell it is.
