In that last pic; it looks like the ponies are wearing thigh highs in battle. Which admittedly is kind of hot.

They are leggings! Leggings on WWII boots that most American troops wore. Especially during the invasion of Normandy!

And yes I agree they look kinda hot on the pones. =3=
